X-ADV

£12,099 fromAdventure crossover6-speed DCTlicence A2

Tier C · #26

Half maxi-scooter, half adventure bike, all DCT. Step-through ease and storage meet proper wheels, suspension travel and ground clearance — a genuinely unusual thing that works.

It shouldn't make sense — yet it absolutely does.
On the road

Tall, commanding and surprisingly composed on a rough road, the X-ADV blends scooter step-through ease with real suspension travel. The familiar NC twin gives relaxed, torquey progress rather than outright pace.

The automatic bit

The DCT gains a dedicated off-road G mode that holds gears and sharpens response on loose surfaces. On tarmac it's the same seamless auto-or-paddle setup as the rest of Honda's DCT range.

Living with it

Storage, weather protection and Honda dependability make it a brilliant year-round tool. The price is the catch — it costs notably more than the equivalent NC750X, and that's before luggage.

The verdict

The X-ADV shouldn't make sense and yet it does: scooter convenience with bike capability and an off-road party trick. Niche, pricey, but loved by everyone who gets it.
