What is Electric (single-speed)?
Almost every electric motorbike is automatic: a single-speed drive with no clutch and no gears. The motor’s instant torque means one ratio covers everything, so you simply twist and go — quietly, with nothing to shift.
How it works
An electric motor makes peak torque from a standstill, so it does not need a multi-speed gearbox; a single reduction gear sends power to the wheel. There is no clutch and no shifting, and lifting off often recovers energy through regenerative braking. It is the simplest riding experience of any motorbike.
